Mailing Lists

The Opticks Community provides two e-mail lists for the community to ask questions and communicate with each other.

• User Mailing List - this mailing list if for analysts and end-users of Opticks to ask questions and communicate with other users.
• Developer Mailing List - this mailing list is for extension developers and Opticks developers. If you're working on creating an extension for Opticks this is the place to ask questions and communicate with other developers.

Post a question to the mailing list

To post a question to the list, you must first create an account on ballforge.net and NOT on this site (opticks.org). The reason an account is required is to cut down on spam to the list. Please see the sidebar for information on creating an account.

Once you have created an account, you can post a question by sending an e-mail to users@opticks.ballforge.net. You can also post a question without sending an e-mail.

Subscribe to get new messages via e-mail

In order to get new messages via e-mail, you must first create an account on ballforge.net and NOT on this site (opticks.org). Please see the sidebar for information on creating an account.

Once you have created an account, go the subscription settings for the user mailing list. On this page, make sure you check the "Subscribe" box and then select your desired e-mail frequency under "Notifications" and then click "Save Changes".

This mailing list is for extension developers and Opticks developers. If you're working on creating an extension for Opticks this is the place to ask questions and communicate with other developers.
