Mailing Lists

The Opticks Community provides two e-mail lists for the community to ask questions and communicate with each other.

User Mailing List

This mailing list is for analysts and end-users of Opticks to ask questions and communicate with other users.

You can the read the message archives at one of the following sites:

To post a question to the list, you must first create an account on ballforge.net and NOT on this site (opticks.org). The reason an account is required is to cut down on spam to the list. Please see the sidebar for information on creating an account.

Once you have created an account, you can post a question by sending an e-mail to users@opticks.ballforge.net. You can also post a question without sending an e-mail.

Developer Mailing List

This mailing list is for extension developers and Opticks developers. If you're working on creating an extension for Opticks this is the place to ask questions and communicate with other developers.

Once you create an account, you can post to either mailing list

  • Go to the registration page
  • Enter your username and e-mail address
  • Click on the "Register" button
