2010-11-29T11:04:49 <kstreith> any additions about the 4.5.0 release?
2010-11-29T11:06:45 <kstreith> ok, onto the open agenda
2010-11-29T11:06:48 <kstreith> i have an update on Visual Studio 2010
2010-11-29T11:06:57 <kstreith> i was able to compile about 11 of our dependencies using Visual Studio 2010
2010-11-29T11:07:07 <kstreith> and was able to get Opticks.exe up and running and was able to import an ENVI file
2010-11-29T11:07:25 <kstreith> still quite a ways to go (20 more dependencies), but the earlier compiler bug was preventing us from getting this far
2010-11-29T11:08:49 <kstreith> any other items for the agenda?
2010-11-29T11:10:08 <rforehan> Are we planning on moving to Windows 7 with move to VS 2010?
2010-11-29T11:10:24 <kstreith> we unofficially support windows 7, I don't see that immediately changing even with the upgrade to VS 2010
2010-11-29T11:13:11 <rforehan> Hasn't Microsoft dropped support for XP?
2010-11-29T11:13:38 <kstreith> yes, mainstream support ended April 14, 2009
2010-11-29T11:13:43 <kstreith> extended support goes until April 8, 2014
2010-11-29T11:14:58 <kstreith> however, quite a few people are still running XP
2010-11-29T11:15:17 <kstreith> just read an article about lack of IE6 support holding up corporate transitions to Vista or Win7
2010-11-29T11:15:28 <kstreith> i expect most of this to be worked out in the next 12 months
2010-11-29T11:15:44 <kstreith> reading http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235435.aspx
2010-11-29T11:15:52 <kstreith> applications built with vs 2010 are still supported on xp (both 32-bit and 64-bit edition)
2010-11-29T11:15:52 <rforehan> thanks.
2010-11-29T11:17:12 <kstreith> leaving the meeting open for a few more minutes
2010-11-29T11:19:26 <kstreith> ok, that will be the end of the meeting
2010-11-29T11:19:34 <kstreith> watch the dev mailing list for meeting notes and the next agenda
